True Position.
Calculate the geometric true position deviation based on measured Cartesian (X,Y) coordinate errors.
Calculated True Position (Diameter)
The Mathematics
True position defines a circular tolerance zone around a theoretically exact center point.
Formula
TP = 2 × √((Dev X)² + (Dev Y)²)
The result is a diametrical tolerance zone. If the result is smaller than the callout on the print, the part is in tolerance.
